News from Mrs. Otte’s classroom:
Geography:
We started learning about the geography of Europe. On Wednesday,
students will have a test over the eastern European countries. They have
a list of the tested countries.
ELA: We
read a short story about the "Smallest Dragonboy." It preceded
How to Train Your Dragon. We talked about character development and writing
styles. Next week we will look at the power of persuasion in our writing.
Art: We
learned about MC Escher and his tesselations and tried our hand at them.
If your
child would be interested in participating in the Lutheran High Art Fair.
They can enter a writing or art project. We must register students by January
17. If they are interested, have them let me know.
Have a great week-end. Stay warm and safe!
Mrs. Barnett
