Newsletter and Chapel!

Dear Parents,
Happy Thanksgiving - next week. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.  I feel so thankful to God for giving us our wonderful school. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to teach your children each day.  (Since we only have a two day next week, I will not be sending out a newsletter.)
Our Operation Christmas Child packing party was a great time!  It is so fun to see our older students help the younger children in their chapel families pack the boxes.  We were able to put together 130 boxes! Thanks to everyone who donated items.
MId-Term Report Changes
Mrs. Otte and I are going to change the procedure for Mid-Term Reports.  Since most of you are on IGradePlus and can regularly monitor your student’s grades, we are not going to send home mid-term reports.  But, if a student is making below a 70% in any of the subjects, we will send a report home for that student. If you are not on I Grade Plus and would like to be, let me know and I'll send you a new “invitation” to log on to your student’s account.

Important Dates Coming Up:
Here’s what’s happening in our classroom:

We are going to be writing 3 paragraph assignments next week.  They will be due after Thanksgiving.  I am hoping to start student proofreading as a skill.  In English, we talked about complements that will turn into direct and indirect objects.

Geography - We just began our study of Central and South America.  The students have a take home quiz to complete for Monday.  They also have a country test on Monday.  We will dive into Native American groups:  Incas, Mayans and Aztecs.
