Dear Parents,
Our annual school auction is coming up soon.  Mrs. Aimee Gorrow is the chairman of the auction committee this year and has been working so hard to make if a fun event.   Please try to come if you can.

SCHOOL AUCTION- “Lights, Camera, Auction!”  November 16.  Join us for a night of fabulous fun!  There will be a delicious meal, drinks, games, and bidding.  You will not want to miss the chance to bid on our one-of-a-kind class project!     Use this link to purchase tickets: Auction Tickets.  Our students have done a great job folding many Samurai hats for our Origami project.  I will be framing it this week-end. It should look great!
Veteran’s Day Program
Please invite any Veteran or Military person you know to come to our program on Veteran’s Day, this Monday, November 11th.   We want to honor anyone who has or is serving in our military to thank them for helping to protect our country and freedoms!  We practiced the program on Thursday and it is great! The songs the children are singing are beautiful. Coffee and donuts begin at 8:30, the program begins at 9:00.  Hope to see you there!
Second Quarter Mission Project - Operation Christmas Child
Yesterday we sent you an email regarding this.  This is such a wonderful program and our students love collecting the items and packing them, to send to children all over the world.  The students were given their bags today and a list of items to donate. (The volleyball team will bring their bags home Monday.)

We are reading the book called the Westing Game.  In it a millionaire creates a game in which the winner will inherit all his money. We will be working on creating a classroom newspaper.
In Geography, we are finishing up our US and Canadian unit.  Today, students were to make a crossword puzzle using the text.
In Art, we explored snowmen pictures and made our own.
We started coding in computer.  We are using the CS First program.  We animated a person and a name this week.  Next week, we will create a Google Doodle.
Have a great week-end!
Mrs. Barnett
