Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe that January is almost over.     Between having a few snow days and watching the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl, time has flown by!
The students are having a great time celebrating Lutheran Schools week. We have two days left:            Tomorrow - Theme: “Faith Fully”    Special Dress: Chapel Family Choice;      Activity: Bible Trivia. Friday - Theme: “Hope Fully”   Special Dress: Dress Your Best;  Activity: Grandparents Day & Talent Show starting at 10:30.
**In addition, the K-8 grade students sing this Sunday, February 2,  at the R.D. Mize campus at the 9:15 service, only. (Earlier we had planned to also sing at 8:00 service.  This has been cancelled.)

7th and 8th Graders Performing at the Talent Show
Our class is keeping up with tradition and performing at the Talent Show this Friday.  They will be doing a dance to the YMCA. They’ve been practicing really hard. Please come if you can.

Student / Parent / Teacher Conferences Sign-up Time
In just two short weeks, it will be time for our 2nd Semester parent teacher conferences.
They will be held on February 13th and 14th (These are 1:00 dismissal days.)    These conferences are “student-led”. Your son or daughter will lead the conference by discussing their strengths and weaknesses, showing you their grades, and writing goals.  Please use this SignupGenius to schedule a time: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080848ADAB2FAAFE3-studentled1

Third Quarter Mission Project
Here is a message from Mrs. Brunkhorst, who is heading up the mission project.
Hi, Timothy Lutheran Families!  Our third quarter mission project is underway!  This quarter, we are supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by participating in their Pennies for Patients Program!  We had our kick-off today with an assembly this afternoon. We learned all about the organization, what our contributions will do, and how we can help.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program is working with thousands of schools across the country to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support services. Our school has partnered with LLS to take on the mission of ending cancer once and for all.
There are 4 ways that your student can help:
1.  Your child can PRAY for these individuals with cancer, and for the researchers and doctors that are searching for a cure.
2.  Your child can bring monetary donations to school.  They were given a box today to collect these materials.  We will be collecting this money in each classroom.
3.  With your help, you child can go online and join our school’s team to make an online donation.
4. With your help, your child can go online and join your child’s classroom team to make an online donation.
With the latter two, it is very easy to get signed up.  Please go to this website: https://events.lls.org/pages/mid/Timothy-Lutheran-School-2020
If you choose to join your child’s class, you just enter the last name of your child’s teacher to get signed up.
With this, your child will have an account and link that can be shared with friends and family members if they would like to donate too!
If our school raises $750, all of the classes get donuts, AND the class with the largest percentage of money raised will get a pasta party!
We are collecting donations until February 14th!
*Boxes and letters were sent home Monday! Thanks!
